When does the dance year start?

Our dance year runs parallel to the traditional school year with classes starting in September, right after labor day, and ending in June.

The dance year will conclude with our annual recital that is usually the first weekend in June.

In addition, we offer a separate summer session for dancers who would like to continue their training throughout the summer.

Am I able to watch my dancer?

Parents are welcome to watch their dancer(s) via the viewing windows.

Only dancers who are enrolled in the class are allowed in the classroom during class time.

Are makeup classes available?

Yes!

If a dancer misses a class they are able to make up the class on a different date for their level.

How will I be notified if a class is canceled?

If a class is canceled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, an email will be sent to all parents as well as posted on our social media.

Where do I find the studio closure dates?

Thrive follows the Monroe Public School calendar.

How does Thrive communicate news and time-sensitive information?

All information is communicated via email to the parent email associated with your Parent Portal account.

Additionally, we are very active on Facebook and Instagram. All of our important information will be conveyed on these forums as well.

How do I register for classes?

Registration is conveniently available online.

How do I know which class to sign my dancer up for?

We offer a variety of classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Hip-Hop, Acro, and Musical Theater for all ages and levels.

Approximate Age & Class Levels

Creative Movement : 2.5 – 4 years old

Level 1 : 3 – 5 years old

Level 2 : 6 – 7 years old

Level 3 : 7 – 8 years old

Level 4 : 9 years old

Level 5 : 10 – 11 years old

Level 6 : 12 years old

Level 7 : 13 – 15 years old

Level 8 : 16+ years old

I am trying to register online, but I can’t submit it. What do I do?

All dancers are required to sign up for auto-pay upon registration.

If you did not sign up for auto-pay, it will not allow you to process your registration. If you decide to pay in full and not auto-pay, the office will remove you from the auto-pay list after your registration is completed.

Tuition & Fees

How much is tuition?

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is $25 per family and is due annually at the time of registration.

When is tuition due and how do you collect tuition each month?

Although tuition can be billed in full at the beginning of the season, it is typically calculated for the entire season and then broken down into 10 monthly auto-pay payments.

The first payment will be deducted on the first day of classes in September and then on the 1st of every month thereafter until June.

If you join after the first class, a deposit will be due on the day of registration and the automatic monthly payments will start on the 1st of the following month.

Dress Code

What does my dancer wear to class?

All classes have a dress code which can be found on our dress code page.

Can I purchase my dancewear through the studio?

Yes!

You can place your order through our online store which you can access via your Parent Portal account.

Does Thrive have an annual holiday performance?

Yes!

Every December we have a Nutcracker Ballet performance that all ballet classes participate in.

Dancers who are interested in participating but are not enrolled in a ballet class can request a spot by contacting us at office@thrivedancect.com.

Lead role auditions normally take place in September and all dancers will have frequent rehearsals from October through the performance in December.

When is Thrive’s annual recital?

Thrive’s annual recital normally takes place the first weekend in June.

Specific information is typically available in late Fall.

What are the fees associated with the recital?

Each class has an $95 recital fee and covers the dancer’s costume and associated costs of the production.

Dancers that are in a combo class (ballet/tap) will have a $190 recital fee to cover both their ballet & tap costume for the recital.
